You all must have had pav-bhaji at some point of time in
your life. But do you know why and for whom it was actually invented?
It’s the textile mill workers!
The mill workers used to have lunch breaks too short for
a full meal, and a light lunch was preferred to a heavy one so the vendor
created this dish using items or parts of other dishes available on the menu.
Initially, it remained the food of the mill-workers but
with time it found its way into restaurants and now it is an international
dish. J
Even the jeans that we wear these days were actually made
for the mill workers.
Seems like the mill workers have been the trend setter of
all times… ! J
