LEADERSHIP IS NOT ABOUT BEING LIKED...

“LEADERSHIP IS NOT ABOUT BEING LIKED. IT IS ABOUT DOING THE RIGHT.”

This is big misconception people have about leadership. Leadership is not a beauty contest! But a real life exam…the situations are unpredictable and requires presence of mind.

Being a good leader requires you to have those skills and alertness…and not a beautiful face or popularity.

Without any offence to anybody, I don’t mean that beautiful and popular faces cannot be good leaders... I mean that all of these are only superficial and might take you to a certain level, after which if you WILL need the skills and qualities to go ahead.

It was “sir nelson Mandela”, “Mr. Ratan Tata” and “chacha” Nehru’s leadership qualities, courage and compassion that took them where they are today. They were never after popularity or looking handsome!!!

All these great leaders had a CHARISMATIC PERSONALITY. Had their SKILLS in place. PEACE in mind. THOUGHT BIG. And that’s what made them popular…adorable and are remembered for! THEY TOOK DECISIONS AND PROVED THEM RIGHT.

 

So friends, just remember one thing:

“You don’t need special recognition or a title to be called a “leader”. If you are able to take RIGHT DECISIONS at the RIGHT TIME and PLACE… YOU ARE A LEADER! J J
