We
all hope for a better tomorrow, a better nation, fast development and
cleanliness in the society. But the bitter truth remains that unless and until
our government doesn’t improve its style and attitude towards their work,
NOTHING WILL CHANGE.
We
have heard a zillion times what an Indian “government office” is like. But the
real test of patience is when you actually have to confront it! You won’t get
the feel unless they make you wait for 30-40 minutes for a job that can be
completed in 5 minutes!!!
I
am not saying that every office is like this. But 8/10 offices that people have
encountered has these features in common. Every single file takes ages to go
from one table to another.
But
let’s leave the admin department. That’s not my concern at all. What bothers me
is that they should at least keep the office “clean” and “hygienic”…!
Today
Unfortunately I happened to visit one such office and to my horror the place
was in an awfully pathetic state!!! Designed with every possible pattern of COBWEBS
all over the ceiling along with racks filled with ROTTING FILES and RED PAAN
SPOTS at every corner, it didn’t need any further interior decoration. Also,
the water cooler was kept right next to a stack of computers that were no more
functional and had layers of dust!!! Eeeewwwwwwww…!
THIS
is the condition of a government office!
It
seemed as if any moment everything would fall on my head. What is the
government up to??? Has it
gone blind or chosen to close its eyes??? If
it cannot keep its offices clean, how can they even dream of cleaning the whole
nation??
ITS
TIME TO WAKE UP!!!!
It
is such a disappointment. L I don’t know what all issues to raise
my voice for! Instead of raising voice for BIG issues such as “corruption”,
“scams” etc, I feel it will be more meaningful if we did the same for this
issue because each one of us at some point of time in our life have to visit a
government office …only to come out angry and frustrated!
Don’t
you agree???
