"Banning
skirts as girl’s uniform”, says BJP MLA Banwari Lal Singhal “will reduce the
chances of their being subject to lewd comments or harassment. They should be
made to wear salwar suits as their new uniform.”
Another
“leader” said, “Junk food should be banned in India. It is because of pizzas
and burgers that cause hormonal imbalance in males and thereby stimulates them
to commit a crime like RAPE.”
When
people holding powerful position say such things, it’s time to give some
serious thought and ask ourselves… WHERE ARE WE HEADING??
If
you are at home, your father, brother or uncle could rape you…
If
you are in the police station, the policemen could rape you…
If
you are travelling in a bus, the driver or conductor could rape you…
If
you are staying back for some extra classes, the professor could rape you…
If
you are going to the hospital to get yourself treated, the doctor himself could
rape you…
Is
there any relation that has been spared from this hideous sin???
It
won’t be wrong to say that we are living among “Human-mines” and
“Ticking-time-bombs”. Just one act of yours and you will be destroyed!!!
Every
single person that I have heard since the gruesome episode of 2012 (DELHI RAPE
CASE) is only giving tips and suggestions on how to avoid arousing someone. No
one is talking about CHANGING THEIR MENTALITY…!
“The
society is teaching us how to not get raped, rather than don’t rape.” It’s high
time we change our thinking pattern…
Will
wearing salwar suit guarantee us that we will not be harassed in any way???
There have already been numerous cases, where the victim was wearing salwar
suit and even black veil, but still was raped!
It
is not in the dress.. it is in your head!
If
a man really knows how to respect a woman, then no matter what she wears will
not tempt him to forcibly have sex with her.
To
those who don’t give a dam and aren’t bothered because the rape victim wasn’t
your sister/daughter/wife or best friend… WISH YOU A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! YOU
HAVE ALL THE REASONS TO PARTY!!!
This
New Year I am not at all in a party mood…No phone calls…No wishes…No messages.
I am angry... frustrated… and sad!
The
year 2012 was a 365 days long “BLAME-PARTY”… but I sincerely hope that with the
rising sun of 2013, our government and ignorant system also rises from its 65
years of deep sleep.
